alexstefany asked: Helllllllllllo! I'm a very involved musician in my band (typical) and I need some advice! My main instrument (I can play everything in band, seeing as I want to be a director, I started) is clarinet and I need some good reed names. I play on a four. Suggestions? Thank you. :)
Hmm. Well, I’m a poor college student who is majoring in English, but I am (as stated before) very poor, so I use Rico 3’s (for bass clarinet). Any followers have different suggestions for her??

Vandoren reeds are top notch and pretty much the only way to go. They’re a bit more pricey but in terms of quality they are totally worth it. They also last longer. They’re also harder so you might want to go down a step in hardness.

V12’s, definitely. My most favourite type.

Van Dorens.
On bass clar, I could get a quality sound from a Rico 3, but not usually on clarinet.

My specialty! Definitely try some Vandoren blue box or V12s. The past year I’ve also been using with the Vandorens some Rico Reserve Classics. The tone isn’t as dark but you get more usable ones per box and have to work less to make them go (get 4+)

Definitely Vandoren. They’re awesome and inexpensive.

Honestly, I’ve been using Vandorens all my life and have had no complaints. They’re fairly sturdy, trustworthy, and not too expensive either. Rico is also good if you’re budgeted.
